A Conservationist and Artist
Born in the 1930′s David Shepherd is known the world over for his paintings of African and Indian wildlife.
Born in the London suburb of Hendon, he became interested in painting as early as the age of 8. He won a painting competition for the magazine Nursery World. He was rejected from the Slade School of Fine Arts in London and when he tried to be a game warden in Kenya.
Even though his work was dismissed by the art college, he was lucky enough to be taken under the wing of a proffessional artist, Robin Goodwin. Soon after, he travelled throughout the African continent and became inspired when he witnessed a few dead zebras that were poisoned from the water they drank.
When Love Don’t Love You Back
Waking up, the sun shinning in window facing the pier at the cty’s marina. Walked across to a pub, all alone. Where’s your true love? They are somewhere you’re not. Til death do us part came quicker then you thought, and you both are still alive. When the smiles turn to frowns and you feel…
A dark shadow in the summer breeze.
You see someone who can barely breath.
It takes everything you have only to go on.
Go on to a place you don’t belong.
What will you do, where will you turn.
The dark shadow is full of pain.
Pain and sorrow deep within.
You look again to the breeze and what do you see? The dark shadow I see is only me.
Humans, Wars, Utopia, and the Future Discussed
Not long ago, an acquaintance said to me; “Human nature will, in my opinion, never change.” And I thought about this for a moment, as I have similar thoughts over the years, and stated that;
“Never is harsh,” as humans do appear to be evolving. Still, the biggest changes I see are mental or in the human brain.
Unfortunately, they are also devolving in some ways too, but luckily, they maintain a similar biological system to a rat, so they will be able to ingest all this plastic they are creating and the polymers which break down and get into the water and food supply – yes, good for a whole article all by itself, and let’s ditch that digression for a moment and get back to the topic at hand.
How to Be Absolutely Hilarious With These 3 Steps!
I am a really funny person. I get laughs like crazy. It’s extraordinary how many people just love to sit around me and listen to the humorous jokes coming out of my lovely mouth. For real, on a daily basis I must have a few people circling around me just cracking up at how funny I am in the way I take everyday happenings and “humorize” them.
And these people inevitably ask me how they too can become as funny as I am. And I always tell them the same thing. I explain that it’s very simple to become humorous, and you always have enough content to play with, as you are going to use regular circumstances and turn them into jokes. Here’s how I do it!
Karaoke Singing Machines – What Are They?
You see, karaoke is an interactive entertainment in which music is played without the vocal. The lyrics of the song appear on the screen so you can sing without any troubles-you don’t need to memorize the text at all. A microphone attached to the karaoke machines will make sure your voice is leveled with the music volume. Karaoke appeared during ’80 and ’90 and back then they used tapes. A karaoke used to have two tape decks and a microphone. One tape played the prerecorded audio while other captured the audio with the voice of the person who sang on the microphone. Today’s modern karaoke machines read different formats and are able to automatically make the backup- the recording of your magnificent performance. Tapes are not being used anymore so the music is being read from CDs, pre-installed databases and hard drives. Today’s karaoke machines also able to read many different music formats.
